Mrs. T. closes book on career

Twiraga, Richards Memorial Library's circulation director, is only too eager to show you a picture of her new grandchild.  And though she claims that for the last ten years she's been planning to retire while she still has the energy and ambition to live a very active life, it's obvious that the arrival of a grandchild this past April was, as she put it, "certainly the frosting."

Literacy tutor training starts in August

he Literacy Center announces Summer Tutor Training classes.
The morning training sessions will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates: July 31, August 2, 7 and 9.

Plainville library book sale underway

The Friends of the Plainville Public Library meet the first Monday of the month and will next meet at the library February 2 at 7 p.m.
The meeting serves at the annual election of officers, and the terms for secretary and treasurer are available along with newsletter editor and chairs fundraisers.
The Friends of the Plainville Public Library meet from Sept. to June. All meetings are open to the public.

Hock Y offers story time every Wednesday

This summer, the North Attleborough Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA will offer a parent-child story and activity hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the lobby at 300 Elmwood St.

Richards announces summer hours to begin

Richards Memorial Library will begin its summer hours on June 18. The library will be open two nights a week -- Monday and Thursdays, from 9 to 8 pm. The library will be open 9 to 5 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
