Plainville library book sale underway

The Friends of the Plainville Public Library meet the first Monday of the month and will next meet at the library February 2 at 7 p.m.
The meeting serves at the annual election of officers, and the terms for secretary and treasurer are available along with newsletter editor and chairs fundraisers.
The Friends of the Plainville Public Library meet from Sept. to June. All meetings are open to the public.
The Friends are holding a Summer Fiction book sale now through Aug. 31. Each week will be a different category.
The book sale will be held in front of the circulation desk as well as in the Friends' hallway during normal library hours.
The books are presorted and the prices are as follows: children's books, magazines and cassettes $.25; paperbacks $.50; hardcover, oversized paperbacks and videos $1; plus books on tape and CDs at various prices. Bestsellers and books of gift giving quality are priced between $.75 and $5.
Book donations for the sale are also being accepted. Books that are in good condition may be dropped off during regular library hours.
