The Bell Choir of Grace Episcopal Church is inaugurating a Give-A-Bell Campaign as part of its ongoing effort to purchase its own set of handbells. Founded in June 2006, the group of approximately 14 handbell ringers, which plays at the church's regular 10 a.m. Sunday service once each month, has been working with bells leased from another church.
Structured so all church members can participate, the Give-A-Bell Campaign will allow members of the parish to honor or memorialize loved ones by purchasing and donating one or more handbells. A personal inscription on the bell handle will carry a message so succeeding generations will remember the donor of the bell he or she rings in every worship service.
Donor information on the handbells and details of the campaign are available by calling Diane Ward at 508-947-7647 or the office of Grace Episcopal Church at 508-695-5471.
The Grace Church Bell Choir was founded by Diane Ward of Lakeville, and her daughter Ruth Ward, who, between them, have over 36 years of experience playing handbells.
