Bruce E. Roberts, 48, of Smith Street died on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 upon arrival at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the former husband of Lorraine (Chabot) Roberts.
Born Sept. 7, 1959 in Woonsocket, he was a son of Maurice Roberts and his wife, Elizabeth (Croke) Roberts of North Attleborough and the late Pauline (Girouard) Bell.
Bruce was a lifelong resident of North Attleborough and attended North Attleborough High School. He worked in construction for the American Soil Company for the past several years.
Bruce owned land in Vermont on which he enjoyed his time spent fishing, hunting and camping. He also loved Scuba diving and cooking, particularly barbeque.
In addition to his father, step-mother and former wife, he is survived by his cherished daughter, Rebecca Roberts of North Attleborough; ten siblings, Denis Roberts of GA, Lise Roberts of RI, Keith Caldwell of Attleboro, Don Roberts of RI, Michael Roberts of North Attleborough, Jo Ann Schlick of North Attleborough, Kelly Brousseau of Attleboro, Paula Bergman of North Attleborough, Thomas Roberts of North Attleborough and Robin Roberts-Pratt of North Attleborough.
He is also survived by several aunts and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held in the SPERRY & McHOUL Funeral Home, 15 Grove St., North Attleborough on Friday, Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday evening, January 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bruce Roberts Memorial Fund for the benefit of his daughter, Rebecca Roberts.
