Summer Hockey 2008
For the Pre-Mite - Squirt Level (those born 1998 and later) a two hour, 13-week session is being offered from June 2 to August 25. This two hour weekly class will offer an hour of skills/drills and a second hour of 3x3 play. The cost is $225.00 for 13 weeks and is held at the Iorio Arena in Walpole on Monday evenings 5-7 p.m.

For players entering grades 6, 7, and 8, a Middle School team will be entered to play at the Foxborough Sports Center on Thursday evenings, from June 18 to Aug. 28. The cost for the 10-week plus playoff program is $175.00.

And last, the High School League is offered to those entering grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. They will participate in the Bay State League playing out of the Asiaf Arena in Brockton. Their session will play June 28 to August 17. This game-only, summer opportunity will cost $220.00 for a 10-game season. Fall Hockey 2008-2009
Tryouts for the North Attleborough Hockey 2008-2009 Fall season are now posted.
Tryouts for the Mites, players born 2000 or later, are on Monday, May 7, 5 to 7 p.m. Squirt Tryouts, for those born in 1998 and 1999, are on Sunday, March 30, 4 to 6 p.m.

Pee Wee/Middle School Tryout, for players born in 1996 and 1997, are on Saturday, March 29, 4 to 6 pm. Bantam/Middle School Tryout, for players born in 1995 and 1995, are on Saturday, March 29, 6 to 8 p.m. Midget Tryouts, for players entering grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, are on Sunday, March 30, 6 to 8 p.m.

All tryouts are being held at the Iorio Arena in Walpole. The registration deadline is April 28. A $25 evaluation fee is due at tryouts. Preregister at www.northattleboroughhockey.com no later than March 27.

Learn To Play Hockey
The North Attleborough Hockey Association announces new this year, "Learn to play hockey." This new program will run on Mondays, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Iorio Arena in Walpole. North Attleborough's High School Varsity Coach, Steve Folan, will instruct this 13-week session from June 2 to Aug. 25. The cost is $225 for the entire session. This program is open to pre-mite (players born 2000 or later) through squirt (players born in 1998 and 1999) who have never skated before, those that wish to continue in their development, or perhaps have been away from skating for a while and wish to get back into it. For the young beginner skaters who never skated before, the on-ice instructors will provide the necessary tools to help skaters keep balance, learn a feel for the ice, and build confidence. Skaters will advance through this program.

The main goal of this program is to have fun, develop new skills, and to prepare the child for later levels of hockey. As they progress, the program is designed to help children learn the basics of hockey as well to teach puck handling, passing, and shooting. Full hockey equipment, including helmets with cages, is required.
