Titans remain among toughest competition in youth lacrosse

North Attleborough -

The U13-1 Triboro Titans boys lacrosse team traveled to Raynham Sunday and came away with a hard fought 6-6 tie. Scoring for the Titans was led by Ollie Gemba with 3 goals. Also contributing on the offensive end was Carl Varadian, Kevin Patton, Liam Harrey's and Ryan Kirby.

The defense was handled by Kyle Fairbanks, John Stukas, and Colin Hood. The game was held in check by the outstanding play of Sean Young in goal.

Aaron Smith, Ryan Kirby and Zach Foley provided strong midfield play to secure the Titans unbeaten season.

U-9 Girls
The U-9 Titan Girls played a strong defensive game against King Philip Sunday at North Attleborough's Petti Field. The team was lead offensively by Teresa Bagarella who played center. Bagarella did a fine job distributing the ball to team mates Mikayala Maciejewski and Charlotte Nolan who both scored in the first half of play.

Chloe Larkin playing goalkeeper, rejected 2 shots on goal in her debut in net. Chloe Olsen, Mackenzie Rosenberg, Allison Baiungo, and Mollie Harries all contributed playing tough defense while protecting the Titan net. Andrea Dennis scored a well executed bounce shot in the second half, assisted by Charlotte Nolan with a feeding pass in front of King Phillip net.

The offense was rounded out with strong performances by Maggie Roberts, Erin McLaughlin, Kayla Petrie, and Riley Lahiff who all assisted with exceptional passes and moving the ball into scoring territory.

The team continues to show improvement despite the tough loss 3-4 to King Philip and looks forward to its' next game.


U-15 Boys (Team 1)
Titans U15 Team 1 lost a hard fought battle with Raynham 7-5. While the Titans struggled to score, they were kept in the game by tremendous efforts in goal by George Barth in the first half and Porter Fortenberry in the second.

Both players made several exceptional saves while being supported by strong defensive play by Jake Leary, Jacob Billington, Alex Kirby, and Brandon Salvas.

The Titans also received strong midfield play at both ends of the field from Mason Rouillard, Nick Varadian, Cameron Burns, and Mike Pundt. The Titan goal scorers were Matt Blackman, Oliver Baublis, Alex Erban, Porter Fortenberry, and Michael Boyland.

U11-Boys (Team 1)
The Triboro Titans U11-1 team faced down a well talented King Philip team. Danny MacDonald held back shot after shot, holding KP to just 5.
Helping MacDonald on defense were, Henry Alienello, Anthony Baiungo, and Jack Dakin. Middies, Aaron Moroeu, Jim Schromm, and Bobby Mylod, never gave up the fight "between the boxes." Josh Oneil, Nick Pierce and Alex Fair did double duty playing both middie and attack.

Scoring for Triboro were, Sean Pierce, Jack Dakin, and Anthony Baiungo.
The second half found Triboro with no subs. Triboro held up well as newcomers to attack, Jake Moreau, and Thomas Lindstrom worked the fast break to perfection, keeping KP back in their zone.

In the end King Philip took the victory 5-3 in a well fought match in great job by all Titans players.

U13-2 Boys
The Titans U13-2 team played a talented King Philip team Sunday and lost 5-2 although they had their chances. Scoring for the Titans this week were attackman Teddy Nolan and midfielder Tommy Cook on a beautiful cross field pass from attackman Shawn Petrelli.

Owen Hoff and Jon Cummings shared at goalie and put in solid performances given the multitude of shots on net. The boys never let up despite being down 4-0 at half.

Colin Quinn and Jonathan Tang, playing both midfield and attack played with great hustle.

Defensive play by Andrew Carello and Jack Roman in the 2nd half help keep the King Philip team to only one goal.
